Jordan
S. Rubin NMD, CNC
Founder and CEO of Garden of Life, Inc.®
Jordan Rubin, NMD, CNC is a Doctor of Naturopathic
Medicine, a Certified Nutritional Consultant
and a member of the National Academy of Sports
Medicine. He is currently a PhD candidate at
the Academy of Natural Therapies. At 27 years
old, he is one of the youngest CEOs in the country,
and at the helm of the fastest growing nutrition
company in America. He’s smart, compassionate
and in peak physical health. To look at him
today, you would never know that just a few
years ago he literally stood at death’s
door from one of the most severe cases of Crohn’s
Disease on record.
In 1994 at 19 years old and standing 6’
1” tall, Jordan’s weight fell from
180 lbs to a shocking 104 lbs in a matter of
months. As his immune system began to break
down, he suffered from a list of debilitating
conditions: intestinal parasites, severe candida
(fungal infection), extreme anemia, food allergies,
diabetes, excruciating abdominal pain, chronic
diarrhea, poor circulation, liver problems,
chemical sensitivities, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia,
arthritis, insomnia, hair loss, prostate and
bladder infections, irregular heartbeat, eye
inflammation and chronic depression. Both conventional
and alternative medicines failed him, and after
two years of working with 70 health professionals
in seven countries, and trying more than 500
different – and often bizarre –
treatments, he was sent home in a wheelchair
to die.
Jordan fought his way back to vibrant health
through determination and a refusal to “give
in” to his disease, and his story is a
true testament to the power of faith in God.
He founded Garden of Life in 1998 to share the
knowledge he gained from his experiences, and
to help others avoid the hopelessness of facing
incurable illness. In the six years since his
recovery, he has shown no symptoms of the disease
that nearly took his life.
Jordan has formulated a line of more than 40
whole food nutritional supplements to help people
achieve optimal health. He has dedicated his
life to sharing his dynamic health programs
“The Maker’s Diet” and the
“Guts and Glory Program,” both of
which are historically documented and scientifically
proven. Jordan has put his formulas to the test
through rigorous clinical trials, and the overall
positive results have shown that he is on the
right track in his approach to healing.
Jordan has appeared on over 100 TV and radio
shows including regular appearances on “Your
Health with Doug Kaufmann” and “Healthy,
Wealthy and Wise”, in addition to writing
monthly columns for Mind and Muscle Power and
The Doctor’s Prescription for Health Living.
First for Women magazine calls him “one
of the top up-and-coming nutrition stars in
America”, and David Steinman of Freedom
Press says, “Jordan Rubin should be ranked
along with Andrew Weil and Robert Atkins as
one of the most important voices on healthy
living today”. Even with his busy schedule,
Jordan makes time to speak to organizations
such as The cancer Victor’s Group, Crohn’s
support groups, various ministry organizations
around the world, as well as consumer health
expos and industry trade shows.
Jordan can now add author to his credits with
three books coming out in the next year; “Patient
Heal Thyself! A Remarkable Health Program Combining
Ancient Wisdom with Groundbreaking Clinical
Research” (Jan 2003, Freedom Press); “Restoring
Your Digestive Health: How the Guts and Glory
Program Can Transform Your Life” (May
2003, Kensington Publishing); and “The
Maker's Diet” (March 2004, Siloam). He
lives in West Palm Beach, Florida, with his
wife Nicki, and is readily available for radio,
TV and print interviews.
